The Closed Loop: Why No One Does Managed Cloud Quite Like UBX Cloud
The approach UBX Cloud takes to managed cloud services, and why it works as well as it does.
UBX Cloud
Maybe on a certain level we learned it from Apple, although that’s not the whole story. I’m talking about the approach UBX Cloud takes to managed cloud services, and why it works as well as it does.
It all comes down to one thing – the closed loop:
• Everything we do in managed cloud is self-contained. • We procure and design both the hardware and the software, as well as all the bits and pieces that go into that.
Having done all this gives us a deep insight into the system – which is your system, since we designed and built it on your behalf. We’re the ones who service it on a continual basis.
Apple operates like this too.
They know the devices because they design them, and they train their people on how they operate. So no one can service Apple like Apple people, and that’s one of the reasons you see such customer loyalty coming back to them.
We’re in tech, so of course we know about Apple’s way of doing business, and we’ve learned from it. But I don’t think that would have been enough if we didn’t care so much about customer service in the first place. And that’s really what our company is all about.
I talk a lot about us being nerds – and it’s certainly true! We love the technology, and we love all the quirky nuances of the digital world. But what’s most important to us is helping you with it. Because we know that, for most of you, this is not your main interest and not your passion. Yet you need these systems to work for you, and it costs you more than many of you realize when they don’t – or when they’re poorly designed for your needs, or when they’re not managed as they should be.
That’s why we deliver our managed cloud services as a closed-loop system. We aren’t willing to risk relying on outside parties or outside systems that might not fit your needs or our commitment to serving you. And we see this with a lot of companies, especially larger ones.
Beware Bifurcation
Too often companies allow their systems to be bifurcated – outsourcing some of it to India to save money, contracting with vendors on other parts and putting some of it on internal staff under the supervision of the IT director.
What ends up happening is that parts of the system that should be managed by a specialist are handed to a generalist. Other parts that require significant resources fall to short-staffed departments because IT is not a profit center. In other cases, organizations set themselves back with opportunity cost. One example we saw recently was a multistate hospital that had an entire half a floor dedicated to servers.
Boy, were there servers! Racks and cabinets everywhere, seemingly enough to support a nuclear power system. Their power bill must have been astronomical. Just think of the patients they could have been caring for in that space if they had simply moved it all to the cloud.
But they would have to have a good resource to lead and manage that process, and if they hadn’t heard of UBX Cloud, maybe they hadn’t found anyone they could trust. (Come to think of it, I’m going to give them a call when I finish writing this.)
The Team You Need From Front to Back
When you have a team like ours, which can provide it all and really knows how to do it all, we’re prepared for any and every situation because we really understand from front to back how the whole thing works.
Working with us means you don’t have to wait for CapX forms or any other type of red tape to get results. The service comes to you as easily as your coffee delivery, which after all is what the cloud is supposed to be – exceedingly easy.
We already have the capacity for the workflow you need. You just have to rent your share of it and it’s all yours.
For 18 years we’ve been proving the closed-loop system is best, and our customers have testified to it with their loyalty and their confidence in our services. That’s how we know it’s the way to go.
